Killing the mood
Killing the mood is a wall lamp in glazed ceramic, part of the Maladaptive Patterns collection. The name comes from a pattern many of us learn early. When a moment gets too light, too hopeful, too good, something in us reaches for the switch. Deflating the joy ourselves feels safer than letting life take it away later. A lamp felt like the honest shape for that story, an object whose whole purpose is to hold light, living with the urge to put it out. Like every piece in the collection, it is not an accusation. It is a small act of recognition, and naming the pattern in the room is the first step out of it. Each one is shaped and glazed by hand, and no two are alike.
