Maladaptive Patterns

Maladaptive Patterns is our newest collection, a series of functional sculptures about emotional survival strategies, the patterns we reach for when love, safety or validation felt uncertain and healthier tools were never taught.

Each piece gives a psychological state a body. The first is a chair designed as the archetypal people pleaser, a softened, faceless figure offering itself openly, almost kneeling, a gesture of service and of quiet desperation to be accepted. It invites you to sit, to lean in, to use it. Beneath that accommodating posture sits the tension every people pleaser knows, the slow cost of keeping others comfortable.

These objects are made to live in ordinary rooms and quietly challenge them. Placed in a home, a piece becomes the elephant in the room, a presence that opens conversations about mental health rather than retreating into small talk. We make this collection to dissolve stigma, and to give shape to the stories most of us are too afraid to tell out loud.
