VOID

VOID is a set of wall lamps in a sand tone, shaped in ceramic and fired in bisque, each with a single concentrated beam of light at the centre of the form. This is one of our quieter, harder pieces. It speaks about chronic emptiness, the feeling of being hollow inside that many people carry without words. The narrow beam is deliberate. It reveals a small space of light inside a larger dark, the way that feeling reveals itself in a life. We make objects like this to sit in a room as a gentle presence, one that invites reflection rather than silence. Each set is made by hand, and no two are alike.
