Big Lacuna Lamp

The Big Lacuna Lamp is a tall floor lamp in a natural white finish, cast in alabaster plaster and carved by hand, with a large open centre lit by a hidden, dimmable light. It is the larger sibling of the Lacuna Lamp and is made in an edition of 8. The Lacuna was the very first piece we made, back when the studio was a spare room and everything was an experiment. It holds the question we still work on today, the dialogue between mass and emptiness, and the way light can reshape how a form is felt. The Big Lacuna carries that question at a scale that meets you at eye level. Each one is cast and carved by hand, so the surface and its markings are never the same twice.
